Cabo San Lucas Country Club
The beautiful Cabo San Lucas Country Club is open to the public and is the only course in Los Cabos located close enough to town for a reasonable taxi ride. With elevation changes of 300 feet and subtle terracing up the hillside, this sensational championship course also offers the areas only fairway views of Lands End, San Lucas Bay and the Sea of Cortez. Designed by Pete Dye, this impressive course and country club features a clubhouse with pro shop, restaurant and tennis courts. This challenging championship golf course features Dyes characteristic waste bunkers and nine sparkling lakes. Playing areas were built into the natural terrain fairways and greens flow into a desertscape of magnificent palo blancos, torote trees and cardon cacti.
When he first saw Cabo Real, Robert Trent Jones, Jr. set his goal to create a high quality course that appears to have been designed by its setting, where every hole features vistas of the sea. It is situated midway along the coastal corridor, halfway between San Jose and Cabo San Lucas at the Melia Cabo Real Hotel. The first 18 holes of the championship Cabo Real Golf Course are laid out over more than 7,000 yards. With its numerous sand traps and arroyos, the course provides a real challenge for low handicap golfers but is still great fun for beginners. Cabo Real Golf Course is a spectacular example of the art of designing and building a truly challenging golf course.
Cabo del Sol
Situated on 1,800 acres and two miles of breathtaking pristine coastline and dramatic desert, this 18 hole Jack Nicklaus signature ocean course offers strategically placed bunkers on narrow terrain that works its way up to the 6th tee, 460 feet above sea level. The 15th, 158 yards, par 3, plays parallel to the Sea of Cortez and will test players of every level.
A new second course, the Cabo del Sol Desert Course, was designed by Tom Weiskopf. This new course spreads across 140 acres of gently rolling desert terrain with a minimum of four, and sometimes five, sets of tees on each hole. The design of this "target-style course" also incorporates large landing areas and few forced carries to ensure an enjoyable golf experience for players of all levels, yet be challenging enough in tournament conditions.
Palmilla Golf Club
The first Jack Nicklaus signature course in Mexico is at home on the lush 900 acres of the oceanfront Palmilla. Nature has provided the unique setting for this breathtaking championship course with desert, ocean, and mountain views. The jewel of this project is the world renowned Hotel Palmilla. A small, boutique oceanfront resort that blends luxurious comfort and personal service with old world charm. Palmilla offers golfers spectacular views of the Sea o Cortèz from nearly every hole as it winds through centuries old cardon cacti and rugged desert mountain terrain, making each hole a memorable experience for golfers of every skill level.
Puerto Los Cabos Golf Course
The Jack Nicklaus Signature Course, certain to rank among the most sought-after games in Los Cabos, and the Greg Norman Signature Course faithfully deliver the quality experience expected from these two legendary players. Each championship-length course takes advantage of the stunning setting and elevation changes to provide dazzling vistas from each hole.
